PHL EMBASSY IN BELGIUM ORGANIZES FINANCIAL LITERACY SEMINAR

04 December 2017 BRUSSELS – The Philippine Embassy in Belgium organized a Financial Literacy Seminar for Overseas Filipinos on November 25 at the Embassy’s Bulwagan ng mga Pangulo, with wealth management expert Mr. Mariel Vincent A. Rapisura as resource speaker. The seminar was attended by around 50 participants.

Mr. Vincent Rapisura of “#UsapangPera with Sir Vince” on Facebook stresses the importance of saving and budgeting during the Financial Literacy Seminar for Overseas Workers organized by the Philippine Embassy in Belgium on 25 November 2017 at the Embassy’s Bulwagan ng mga Pangulo.

Mr. Rapisura, who is also known as “Sir Vince” for his #UsapangPera series on Facebook, is President and CEO of Social Enterprises Development Partnerships, Inc., and Program Manager, Microfinance Capacity Building Program of the Ateneo de Manila University.

Mr. Rapisura provided advice to the participants on managing their money wisely, including practical tips on saving and on how to generate passive income. He also discussed various investment portfolios or financial instruments in the Philippines and the importance of researching and understanding one’s financial goals before investing.

The seminar was made possible through the Embassy’s Gender Awareness and Development program.
