The Ateneo de Manila University and Social Enterprise Development Partnerships Inc. (SEDPI), in partnership with the Office of the Vice President of the Philippines is mounting a conference entitled “Socialized Housing Summit” on January 26 -27, 2018.

The conference aims to give an (1) overview of housing backlogs of the Philippines; (2) provide a space for community members, contractors, and developers to collaborate on building housing projects for the poor and; (3) identify policy gaps and recommendations to the government.

SEDPI will present its research on the housing demand and supply in the Philippines. The people’s plan concept and actual implementation experience will also be presented during the summit.

An open space will be provided to allow community members, government agencies, contractors and developers to discuss potential projects that are already in the pipeline.

The summit starts at 9am and ends 5pm on January 26 while a site visit showcasing actual experience and implementation of a people’s plan on housing is planned for January 27.
