I conducted the 4th batch of the Training of Trainers for Social Investors (TOTSI) in Abu, Dhabi on May 5, 2019. May dumalong 27 participants who were very eager and willing to increase their knowledge on personal finance management that achieve triple bottom line – profit, social mission and environmental protection.

Ibinahagi ko sa kanila kung saan ako naglalagay ng aking social investments which are mostly in microfinance institutions and social enterprises.

I immediately flagged the question and explained why I do not agree na dapat “nilalaro” ang pera.

Words become worlds. We have to be careful with the words we use dahil ito ang ating nagiging konteksto at katotohanan.

Investment goals

My opinion doesn’t really matter when you choose your investment. It has very little bearing. You do not need a “hot tip” from me. What matters is how committed you are to your investment purpose and at the same time matching the this with the appropriate financial product.

Halimbawa, ang perang balak mong gamitin para sa pag-aaral ng iyong anak na 15 years old, pagtungtong niya sa kolehiyo kaya mo bang isugal? Kaya mo ba itong mabawasan?

Sa ganitong sitwasyon, you have limited option.

Information-sharing

Kaya sabi ko, mas maglalabas pa ako ng mga articles and videos on where I place my investments. I will share this information to the public. Here are two that I already released:

More to come. =)
